Course Description
This five-session certificate program introduces participants to CBT approaches for special and complex clinical presentations, integrating practical techniques and multidisciplinary perspectives.
The program will cover:
• CBT strategies for anger management, including identifying triggers, cognitive restructuring, and emotional regulation techniques
• CBT interventions for substance use disorders, including coping skills, relapse prevention, and motivational enhancement
• Managing emotional dysregulation through CBT and DBT-informed skills, including mindfulness and distress tolerance
• An overview of common psychiatric medications and their integration with psychotherapeutic interventions
• CBT approaches for supporting cancer patients, focusing on coping, adjustment, and improving quality of life
Participants will gain practical tools and structured approaches to work effectively with clients presenting with diverse and complex clinical conditions.
