Course Description
Anger difficulties often stem from maladaptive thought patterns, low frustration tolerance, emotional dysregulation, and ineffective coping strategies. Individuals may experience cycles of impulsive reactions, heightened irritability, or suppressed anger, which can negatively impact relationships, work performance, and overall well-being.
This two-hour online training introduces participants to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches for anger management.
The session will cover key components of CBT for anger management, including:
• Understanding the cognitive-behavioural model of anger
• Identifying triggers and early warning signs of anger escalation
• Recognizing and modifying anger-related cognitive distortions
• Developing emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills
• Learning adaptive communication and assertiveness techniques
• Building relapse-prevention and long-term anger management strategies
Participants will gain practical CBT tools and structured techniques to help individuals manage anger more effectively, improve interpersonal functioning, and respond to challenging situations in a more balanced and constructive manner.
This workshop is designed for mental health professionals, psychology students, and individuals interested in evidence-based interventions for anger management.
