This 2-hour online training provides participants with a clear and practical introduction to psychiatric medications from a clinical perspective.

The session will cover key components, including:

• Overview of major classes of psychiatric medications (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiolytics)

• How psychiatric medications work in the brain and body

• Common indications and clinical uses

• Benefits, limitations, and common side effects

• Addressing myths, stigma, and common concerns about medication

• The role of medication within a holistic treatment plan alongside psychotherapy

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of psychiatric medications, enabling them to engage more confidently in psychoeducation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and informed discussions with clients.
